Silicone Oil

Description

Dimethyl Silicone Fluids known chemically as poly-dimethyl-siloxanes, are available in various viscosities ranging from 0.65cS to 60,000cS. They are clear, non-toxic, inert and odourless fluids.

Applications

Dimethyl Silicone Fluids are recommended for a wide variety of industrial applications. For example, in polishes and cosmetics, as anti-float additives in paint and printing inks, in dashpots and damping devices, as liquid dielectrics and as antifoams in lube oils. Polydimethylsiloxane fluids have a very low order of toxicity and if handled with reasonable care present negligible skin irritation problems.
